Speaker, Mike Johnson, may be saved by Democrats if he agrees to go along to get along. But, of course, they want something in return.
Their goal is to get Johnson to let Democrats make more laws. There's a good chance Johnson's going to keep his job as speaker if he agrees to their demands.
Johnson is in big trouble because some Republicans (America First) and most Americans are furious with him. The deal he made with the Democrats to keep the government running, instead of closing up shop to take care of the border crisis has many people disheveled and disheartened with our weak political leadership.
In addition, the deal he made with Democrats spends too much money on things nobody cares about. If he does not change his alliance with the left, GOP leaders will overthrow him as speaker.
However, Johnson is standing firm and says he won’t change the deal. The government should stay open and avoid a shutdown, he says. According to him, he will work hard to complete the spending process as soon as possible... whatever that means..
It has been suggested that some Republicans, such as Chip Roy and Marjorie Taylor Greene, might attempt to remove Johnson from his position. At this point, the majority of us Patriots would really appreciate that move because Johnson isn't listening to his constituents or the American people. He has proven he can be bought and paid for.
Democrats are lining up to keep Johnson as speaker because they know they can make a doormat out of him. Their condition? Johnson would have to work closer with Democrat leader, Hakeem Jeffries.
He won't get a free ride from the left, but if he caves to their demands he will lose all respect from Americans and officially make it to the Rino list (if he hasnt already - in the eyes of the majority).
